New Bedford Police Witness Drug Deal, Arrest Two Men

Two men are under arrest after police witnessed a drug deal in downtown New Bedford.

Detective Captain Steve Vicente says a police lieutenant saw the men complete a deal in the parking lot of the downtown Walgreens on Pleasant Street Monday night. The two men were arrested.

33-year-old Joseph Knox of Acushnet is charged with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws. 43-year-old Chris Nogueira of New Bedford is charged with possession of suboxone and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
