New Bedford Police Seek Stabbing Suspect

New Bedford Police have released the name of a suspect being sought in connection with a Thursday afternoon stabbing.

Detective Lieutenant John Chaves says Sergio Orellano was stabbed in the neck during a confrontation near 34 Gifford Street.

Chaves says after getting witness statements police were able to identify the suspect as 24-year-old Alex Bonilla.

He may also may go by the name Alex Andrade and may be the driver or passenger in a white Lexus.

Bonilla is considered armed and dangerous.
