New Bedford Police Save Woman

Shortly after midnight New Bedford Police responded to a 911 from 2 residents of Harbor View Towers of a woman standing on the top ledge of the Zeiterion Garage.

The officers, after a brief struggle, were able to grab the unidentified 23 year old woman's wrists and get her back over the ledge to safety. She continued to struggle as she was put in handcuffs and taken to St. Luke's Hospital for medical evaluation.

New Bedford police say the woman has a history of psychological problems.
