New Bedford Police Release Photo of Robbery Suspect

A North End convenience store was robbed shortly before noon Sunday.

New Bedford Police Detective Capt. Steve Vicente tells WBSM News that a white male in his 20's entered the Coggeshall Food Mart at 463 Coggeshall Street and displayed a small, black firearm and demanded money from the 38-year-old female clerk.

He escaped in an unkown direction with an undetermined amount of money. The clerk was unharmed.

The suspect was described as 5'11" tall with wire-rimmed glasses and was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt tied tightly around his face.
