New Bedford Police Issue Warrants For Armed Robbery Suspect

New Bedford Police are looking for a suspect in connection with two robberies.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says 41-year-old Pedro Miguel Alvarado is being sought in connection with two armed robberies which took place in March.

Alvarado is accused of robbing the Burger King on Cove Rd. at knifepoint on March 20 while wearing a mask and fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money.

No injuries were reported.

Vicente says Alvarado is also suspected of robbing Zully’s Wine and Spirits located at 1240 Kempton St. while wearing a mask and armed with a crowbar.

The store clerk was threatened during the robbery and the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Vicente says the robberies have been connected and outstanding warrants have been issued for Alvarado's arrest on two counts of Armed Robbery while masked.
