New Bedford Police Investigating Report of Armed Robbery

NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police are investigating a report of an armed robbery on Tuesday.

Police responded to the Hillside Court housing development at 525 Coggeshall Street at around 3:55 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a man suffering from a head injury. A police department spokeswoman says medical aid was rendered.

Police say while talking with the man, he reported that money was taken from him but could not provide any further information.

Police continue to investigate.
