New Bedford Police Investigating North End Stabbing

New Bedford Police are investigating a stabbing in the City's near-North End.

Detective Captain Steve Vicente tells WBSM News a 32-year-old male was driven to St. Luke's Hospital by his girlfriend around 3:30pm Monday. Vicente says the man had suffered a stab wound to his chest. The unidentified man was flown to Rhode Island Hospital.

Police have not yet had a chance to question the man about the stabbing, but are investigating.
