New Bedford Police Arrest Two in Covenience Store Robbery
New Bedford Police arrest 2 local men in connection with a break in at a West End convenience store. At 5 am this morning police were called to D & S mini market on Liberty Street about the break in and found the front door damaged with access being gained into the store.
Two men were immediately located in the area of the Westlawn Housing Development where police found a bag containing over 60 packs of cigarettes that were taken from the store. Authorities arrested 34 year old Derek Braga of Mill Street and 24 year old Derek Remy of Pierce Street. Both men were charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony and larceny in a building. They were arrainged in 3rd District Court.
