The Department of Public Health has been reluctant to release what could be critical information about the Parker Street Waste Site, but State Representative Antonio Cabral has convinced state officials to release those documents.

Cabral says he requested a meeting with DPH Interim Commissioner Lauren Smith, who released the results of air quality and cancer studies conducted over a year ago in and around the Parker Street Waste Site.

Cabral tells WBSM News, the results may give officials a better idea of what they're dealing with, and how to better remediate the site.

Cabral says the reports may also indicate a connection between PCB levels and cancer rates for nearby residents and those who have spent a good deal of time at the high school.
