NEW BEDFORD - Two New Bedford residents have been arrested after police search their car in connection to a larceny out of Fairhaven.

New Bedford Police Detectives stopped a vehicle at the Petro Mart at the corner of Mitchell and Coggeshall Streets before 7 p.m. Wednesday. The car was being sought in connection with a larceny out of a Fairhaven home.

Inside the car, police found crack cocaine and pills.

Police arrested the two occupants of the car, Jeannine Vickery, 43, and Joshua Nunes, 33, both of New Bedford.

Vickery is charged with possession of a Class B substance, conspiracy to violate drug laws, possession of a Class E substance, and possession of a Class C substance. She also faces charges filed by Fairhaven Police for larceny from a residence in the town.

Nunes is charged with possession of a Class B substance, conspiracy to violate drug laws, and possession of a Class E substance.
