New Bedford Murder Suspect On Trial In Fall River

Opening arguments Tuesday in the murder trial of a New Bedford man.

Thirty-six year old Jeremy Amaral is on trial in Fall River for the March, 2013 murder of 35 year old Tiffany Ann Durfee of New Bedford.

Amaral is charged with beating Durfee to death in her North Street apartment, then stealing her 55-inch T-V and selling it for drugs.

Police say two of Durfee's sons, five and four years old at the time, were at home when their mother was murdered. They were not hurt.

Testimony is scheduled to begin Wednesday morning.
