A spokesman for the District Attorney's office says Cardoza's case was continued to September 18th for a probable cause hearing.

He's charged with the August 2nd fatal shooting of 24 year old Jeffrey Sylvia Jr. of New Bedford.  Sylvia was found at the intersection of Acushnet Avenue and Blackmer Street.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.
