New Bedford Mill Converted To Senior Housing

Another historic New Bedford mill has been converted into residential living space. 

The Manomet Mill on Riverside Avenue has become Manomet Place. 

Winn Development has converted the northern end of the mill building into apartments and condo's for seniors, 55 and older. 

Mayor Jon Mitchell attended a grand opening ceremony on Tuesday and was pleased with the results......

Officials say all 75 units have already been leased. 

Also attending the grand opening was Aaron Gornstien, the Mass. Assistant Undersecretary for Housing.
