New Bedford, Massachusetts The Least Bible Minded City In The United States

1 Timothy 4:13 says, "Until I come, devote yourself to public reading of Scripture". The Bible is the world's most widely read book. In a report by the research firm Barna Group, a study commissioned by the American Bible Society listed 96 of America's most and least Bible-minded cities.

Surprisingly, Providence/New Bedford ended up dead last! According to the study only 9% of the people surveyed in the area read the bible on the weekly basis. Finishing in the number two spot was Albany, NY. Only 10% of their surveyed people read the bible on a weekly basis.
