New Bedford Man Sentenced

Shawn Audette[/caption]A 31 year old New Bedford man has been sentenced to 4 to 6 years in state prison for a bank robbery on October 25th of last year. Shawn Audette of County Street entered the New Bedford Credit Union at 1150 Purchase Street and handed the teller a note saying that he had a gun, although no weapon was shown, and demanded money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and using surveillance bank footage, police tracked him down and found him hiding in an apartment at 643 County Street where he was taken into custody.
