A New Bedford man will serve up to five years in jail after pleading guilty to drug and gun charges.

Thirty-one year old Carl Pina of Linden Street pleaded guilty Tuesday in Fall River Superior Court to charges of possessing an illegal firearm and trafficking in cocaine.

The District Attorney's office says Judge Gregg Pasquale sentenced Pina to 3 1/2 to five years in prison, plus two years supervised probation when he gets out.
