A New Bedford man is now facing murder charges in Rhode Island, after being indicted by a grand jury in the Ocean State.  

Terrel Barros, 24, is charged in connection with a fatal shooting last August in Providence. 

Police say 38 year old Jamal Cruz  of Wareham was found wounded in a parking lot outside the Monet Lounge.  Another man was also struck by gunfire.  Cruz later died at Rhode Island Hospital. 

Barros is being held without bail.  He was indicted  on charges of murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and firearms violations.
