New Bedford Man Found Guilty Of Murder

A New Bedford man has been found guilty of first degree murder in the beating death of another man two years ago. 

According to the District Attorney's Office, jurors in Fall River Superior Court on Tuesday found 36 year old Thomas Gardner guilty of murder in the death of Michael Duarte in November, 2011.  The trial lasted two weeks.

Gardner will be sentenced Wednesday morning at nine.  He faces life imprisonment with no possibility of parole.
