New Bedford Man Charged in Robbery, Linked to Domino’s Hold-Ups

A New Bedford man is charged in connection with the robbery of a Cumberland Farms.

Lt. Amos Melo tells WBSM News 52-year-old Shawn Souto was arrested on unrelated warrants Friday morning. Melo says Souto has been formally charged with one count of armed robbery for the robbery at the Acushnet Avenue Cumberland Farms Monday night.

During that robbery, the suspect became nervous and left with only cigarettes.

Souto has been connected to a robbery and attempted robbery of Domino's Pizza delivery drivers in the North End this week. No charges have been filed in connection to either of those cases as they are still under investigation.
