New Bedford Man Arrested on Serious Drug Charge

NEW BEDFORD — Police on patrol observed a vehicle in a distant spot in the parking lot at Stop and Shop on Dartmouth Street with individuals engaged in suspicious behavior.

Upon further investigation, police arrested Michael Patrick Ronan, 48, of Atlantic Street, New Bedford, on charges of trespassing and possession of class A substance.

The arrest was made at 10:20 p.m. Monday.
