NEW BEDFORD — A city man has been arrested on multiple drug charges.

The New Bedford Police Narcotics Unit was investigating street-level narcotics sales in the South End of the city Monday evening, when at 6:05 p.m., they observed suspicious activity in a motor vehicle consistent with drug sales on West Rodney French Boulevard.

When the vehicle was subsequently stopped at David Street and Brock Avenue, police located cocaine, more than $150 in cash and a digital scale in the vehicle.

Police arrested 28-year-old Barry Seguin II of 465 Rockdale Avenue in New Bedford on charges of possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
