New Bedford High Softball Coach Gets His 500th Win

Congratulations to New Bedford High softball coach Harry Lowe who got his 500th career win yesterday when his Lady Whalers beat Dartmouth 3 to 2 in extra innings.

It had been a long off season for the coach who ended 2012 with 499 wins.

Lowe spent 6 years as the head coach at Old Colony before moving to the Apponequet program where he stayed for 13 years. He took over as head coach of New Bedford High in 2003.

There's not telling when he will hang up his cleats so here's to many more Coach!
