A video showing a fight between two students at New Bedford High School has been making the rounds on social media.

Jonathan Carvalho, Community and Public Affairs Manager for New Bedford Public Schools, told WBSM News the incident began as a verbal argument before it escalated into a fist fight  Wednesday afternoon in the school cafeteria.

Carvalho says an administrator intervened about 20 seconds after the fight began and no serious injuries were reported.

No other students were involved and Carvalho says it appears to be an isolated incident.

Carvalho says the students are facing disciplinary action and they will also be talking with staff about more constructive ways to resolve their differences.

The video can be viewed here, we do warn you that it contains violence and explicit language.
