Local residents trying to cope with Friday's tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, sought solace inside the walls of Grace Episcopal Church Monday night.

Religious leaders from New Bedford and surrounding communities led about 200 people in an inter-faith vigil for the victims of Friday's school shooting. Fairhaven's Tom Cabral has family with children in the Newtown School System. Cabral tells WBSM News, there was only one place he wanted to go, when he learned of the tragedy.

Joan Swain of New Bedford felt comfort in the company of others in attendance.

Rev. Chris Morck of Grace Episcopal read the names and ages of the 26 victims to open the service, which also featured remarks by Rabbi Barry Hartman, Reverend Constantine Bebis, and Rev. David Lima.
