New Bedford Folk Festival Begins Saturday

The New Bedford Folk Festival opens its doors Saturday at 11am. 

The annual outdoor music festival in the National Park  will feature an indoor venue for the first time, with the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center serving as the festival's main stage, in place of Custom House Square, which is under construction. 

The Festival used to be known as Summerfest, but organizers decided to change the name last December,  to identify what the festival is all about......

Festival Artistic Director Alan Korolenko.  The Festival runs from 11-9 both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are available at the event.
