The threat of heavy rain from Hurricane Arthur has prompted New Bedford officials to move its Fourth of July Fireworks display over the harbor from Friday to Saturday night.  The show was scheduled to be held Friday night starting at 9pm.  On Friday afternoon, the Mayor's office announced the fireworks had been moved to Saturday night at 9pm.

There's a lot to do on Saturday in New Bedford.  The Cape Verdean Recognition Day Parade will start at 11am from Buttonwood Park, the New Bedford Folk Festival opens its doors Downtown, and the Charles W. Morgan at the State Pier will continue to welcome visitors.
