New Bedford Father & Son Arraigned On Murder Charges

A New Bedford man and his son are being held without bail after being arraigned Friday in Fall River Superior Court on murder charges.  The District Attorney's office says Ryan and Darius Gamboa were indicted last month by a grand jury for the July 6 fatal shooting of 31 year old Julio Barboza of New Bedford, outside a 7-11 convenience store on Cove Rd.

Police say the shooting happened after Barboza became involved in a fight with 38 year old Ryan Gamboa.  Police identify 20 year old Darius Gamboa as the actual shooter.  Both suspects are scheduled to return to court on October 25.
