58 per cent of the Members of the New Bedford Educators Association have voted overwhelmingly in favor of a motion expressing "no confidence" in the leadership of School Superintendent Dr. Pia Durkin. The union is urging her to resign so that a new superintendent can be appointed.

Union President Lou St. John adds he believes Dr. Durkin was not properly vetted by the School Committee before she was hired.
