New Bedford Developer Dies

A memorial service is being planned for Saturday, December 7 in New Bedford in memory of New Bedford developer Stephen Ricciardi.

Ricciardi, a Quincy native,  passed away two weeks ago in Quincy. In the early 2000's,  he converted the Wamsutta Mills into residential and commercial space, then undertook the conversion of the former Whitman Mill into the Victoria Riverside Lofts and his third New Bedford project is currently under construction as the former Cliftex Clothing factory building is being turned into more liveable space as the Riverbank Lofts.

The Wamsutta Mills and Whitman Mills projects both won a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. Ricciardi's Memorial service will be held at Victoria Riverside at 4 pm on Saturday Dec. 7th.
