NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police have completed yet another crime sweep in the city.

The latest in several sweeps for street level drug activity netted six people in New Bedford's West and North Ends Monday. The six people, from New Bedford, Dartmouth, and Fall River, face charges including possession and distribution of heroin, cocaine, and prescription painkillers.

Since November, city crime sweeps have resulted in nearly 50 arrests.

The six that were arrested Monday are being arraigned today in New Bedford District Court. They are:

  • Nathan Stork, 26, of 73 Foster Street, New Bedford
    • Distribution of class A heroin
    • Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws
  • Arielle Magid, 28, of 73 Linden Street, New Bedford
    • Possession of class A heroin
    • Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws
  • Henry Mahaoney, 42, of 20 Reuben Street, Fall River
    • Distribution class B cocaine
    • Possession with intent to distribute class B cocaine
    • Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws
  • Jameson Linhares, 33, of 130 Winterville Road, Dartmouth
    • Possession of class B cocaine
    • Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws
  • Amanda Benevides, 29, of 175 Shaw Street, New Bedford
    • Distribution of class B suboxone
    • Distribution of class E Adderall
    • Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws
  • Steven Medeiros, 38, of 523 Tower Street, Fall River
    • Possession of class B suboxone
    • Possession of class E Adderall
    • Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws

A total of $645 in cash was also seized.
