NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police narcotics unit made two drug arrests and eight warrant arrests Tuesday as part of a sweep targeting street level narcotics use. Police continue to do these sweeps to enhance the quality of the city’s neighborhoods.

The sweep included two drug arrests:

Steven A. Francisco, 25, 9 Granfield St., New Bedford, two counts of possession of class B substance (Suboxone strips and Methadone), conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Emerito R. Murdock, 38, 383 North Front St., New Bedford, possession of class B substance (Suboxone), conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Those two individuals were in possession of a small amount of Suboxone and Methadone.

Eight warrant arrests were also made:

Jason M. Lemieux, 34, 94 Shawmut Ave. Apt. 1FL, New Bedford.

Justin P. Souza, 31, 25 Bentley St. Apt. 3, New Bedford.

Stephen Galipeau, 36, 287 Coffin Ave., New Bedford.

Billieleigh Galipeau, 46, 287 Coffin Ave., New Bedford.

Nataly Quintana, 32, homeless.

John Edward Hoglund, 51, 14 Roosevelt St. Apt. 2, New Bedford.

Timothy Lainey, 25, 242 E. Main St., Fall River.

Paula Little, 40, 22.5 Old Colony Ave., Taunton
