New Bedford Closes Schools For Another Day

School children in New Bedford are staying home another day.   Mayor Jon Mitchell decided to cancel school on Tuesday after discussions with Interim Supt. Michael Shea, and taking a drive around the city.  The Mayor is concerned about those large piles of snow....

The Mayor expects schools will be open on Wednesday but he'll make that announcement later Tuesday.  All city buildings are reopening Tuesday, including City Hall, libraries and senior centers.  The parking ban has now been lifted.  The emergency shelters at Keith Middle School and Pilgrim United Church have now ceased operations.
