New Bedford Attempted Armed Robbery

A New Bedford Man is arrested to downtown New Bedford early Saturday morning and charged with attempted armed robbery. 44 year old Kermit Flemming of Ashley Blvd approached a 39 year old Plymouth resident at Union and Pleasant Street, put a knife to the victim's throat and demanded money. The victim broke free and police arrested Flemming near the downtown bus station and found a 4 inch pocket knife on him. He faced assault and dangerous weapons charges in district court.
