New Bedford Police Seek Armed Robbery Suspect

A 45 year old New Bedford man is robbed shortly before midnight Monday by 3 men as he walked home in the vicinity of Dartmouth & Rivet Streets.

The three suspects struck the victim in the back of his head and handcuffed him as they took his cell phone and wallet. The victim was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital by his mother where hospital security removed the handcuffs and turned them over to police. The three suspects are described as dark skinned with one being short & stocky, another average height and the third tall and thin.

Anyone with information is asked to call New Bedford Police Detective William Westgate at 508-991-6300.
