New Bedford Armed Robbery

The Lucky 7 convenience store on Cottage Street in New Bedford wasn't so lucky last night as a lone male robbed the store at gun point. A female clerk flagged down police shortly after the robbery at 9 pm and told them the suspect brandished a silver firearm and demanded money and cigarettes. After getting an undetermined amount of money and the smokes, he was last seen running west on Durfee Street from Cottage. He's described as a light skinned male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and had a black mask covering his face. Anyone with information is asked to call New Bedford Detectives at 508-991-6300 ext 320.
