Some mean spirited vandals broke into the headquarters of C.A.R.E, the Center for Animal Rescue and Education, on Hathaway Road in New Bedford.  It's a no kill animal shelter. Spokesperson Ruth Marshman tells WBSM News what they found when they opened for business Tuesday morning.

They thieves took about one thousand dollars, however,  none of the animals were injured or taken. Marshman says all donations are being accepted but suggests they be made by check, not cash.
