New Autism Center in Fall River

The Southcoast Autism Center just opened a new facility on Quarry Street in January and it's already having a positive impact on kids' lives!

According to The Herald News, "The center uses applied behavior analysis treatment and applied verbal behavior, a unique way to teach children who are non-verbal or have limited language skills to learn to communicate their thoughts, wants and needs, and to become more social with their peers."

This approach is preparing the kids for school and teaching them how to interact with teachers and other students. This way, they can communicate to the best of their ability and grow to be independent.
