A new appeal for O.J. Simpson has been filed with the Nevada Supreme Court. The "Review-Journal" says justices accepted the lengthy request for a new trial in Simpson's 2007 robbery case.

The 100-page appeal claims the ex-football star's trial lawyer was ineffective. Simpson was convicted for robbing two men of sports memorabilia at the Palace Station hotel.

He claims he was trying to recover his own property. Simpson is being held in a northern Nevada prison.
