Its the 25th year for the Coats for Kids and growups too Community Coat Drive, sponsored by the YWCA and the Mayor's Youth Group.

New and gently used winter coats and accessories, like gloves, scarves and hats, will be distributed to needy families on Saturday the 29th at the Unitarian Church on Eighth Street.

Organizer Pam Pollock of the YWCA tells WBSM News, any donation will be appreciated....

Coats and accessories will be collected through Wednesday at the YWCA on Sixth Street, the Unitarian Church, and New Bedford City Hall, room 221. Coats can also be donated Saturday morning from 9-11 at the Unitarian Church.

New Bedford High School and the Global Learning Charter School are also running coat drives to support the "Coats for Kids" drive this year.
