The School Committee's plan to create an Innovation school in New Bedford may be headed for a court fight.

Lou St. John, the head of the New Bedford Educators Association says he's talking with attorney's for the Mass. Teachers Association, and they're not ruling out legal action.

St. John says teachers at the Gomes school, where the Renaissance School of Arts and Music will be located, should have the chance to vote on the proposal.

The union president says he'll be meeting with Gomes teachers on Wednesday...

St. John also says all financial data about the Renaissance School has never been fully made public.

St. John says the union sent a letter to Interim Superintendent Mike Shea, seeking financial information about the Innovation schools, but the letter has never been answered.
