TIVERTON, RI - A nationwide sex trafficking sting lands in neighboring Rhode Island.

Tiverton Police say they assisted Rhode Island State Police and the FBI in Boston in apprehending Jerry Isme of Hyde Park, Massachusetts. Isme was arrested this week in Tiverton for sex-trafficking a minor. Police say Isme had brought a 16-year-old girl across state lines for the purposes of sex.

The arrest was part of "Operation Cross Country XI," a nationwide sex trafficking sting which focused on cracking down on operations being run out of hotels, casinos, and truck stops.

As a result of the coast to coast sting, 84 children were rescued and 120 people were arrested on human trafficking charges.
