Donald Trump has a few distinct advantages over Hillary Clinton when it comes to their initial debate which takes place tonight 9:00 PM EST just east of the Queens borough on Long Island at Hofstra University in New York.

For starters, Secretary Clinton's campaign is promising to clean his clock. He isn't supposed to fair well at all tonight so any decent performance provides the viewers that, whether they like it or not, he belongs on the stage. It's a big "if" just hours before the debate begins.

Another advantage is that Secretary Clinton has a well documented and controversial past. The former 1st Lady didn't exactly appear as the feminist she portrayed when it came to excoriating the multiple women laying claims of sexual abuse by her husband, then President William Jefferson Clinton. As US Senator in New York (2001-2009), she voted YEA to allow the Bush Administration to invade Iraq in March of 2003. he voted NAY to the decisive and successful "surge" plan designed by General Petreaus in 2007. She promised 200,000 jobs to upper-state New York which flopped miserably.

As Secretary of State, Hillary was on the wrong end of the "Arab Spring" in Egypt and Libya, was provably confused and duped into arming many of theSyrian rebel groups who walked away with the State Department supplied arms and joined ISIS.

She was a designer if not the architect of the Iranian nuclear deal. She failed in the now embarrassing "Reset" with Russia, promising to improve relations with  Vladimer Putin. Her email scandal according to the FBI was both reckless and careless, exposing national secrets in order to protect her own personal secrets.

The Clinton Foundation:

"The Clinton family’s mega-charity took in more than $140 million in grants and pledges in 2013 but spent just $9 million on direct aid. The group spent the bulk of its windfall on administration, travel, and salaries and bonuses, with the fattest payouts going to family friends...." - NY Post reporting on a study by charitable organization watchdog Charity Navigator from 4/26/2015.

A recent discovery revealed that 194 Donors to the CF now work at the State Department indicating a gross misuse of office

Donald Trump has a long storied history but mostly as the face of capitalism. Now on his third marriage with his 3rd beautiful and exotic wife, Trump has been in movies, has had his own tv shows, been the focus of news stories both controversial and based on his flaunted brand or benevolence especially in the City of New York.

Since he began running for president, few come to mind that have burned more bridges socially. His politically incorrect verbiage and ideas have endeared him to tens of millions and have earned the ire of even more. Muslims and Mexicans were the two named specifically while on the stump but liberals here at home and abroad find him to be completely ignorant of governing, fraudulent and vulgar.

Tonight look for Donald Trump to attempt the pivot everyone has been waiting for and is seemingly long overdue. He needs to look poised, thoughtful, stately and capable of being at the helm of the United States Government. Hillary will likely try to draw fire from him and get him to return to the "Dice Clay" of the Republican Primary.

Trump also needs to be prepared for a pre-planned scoff at any plan he offers to the people of the USA on any issue. Hillary knows Trump has not elaborated and explained in detail any of the ideas he has with regards to his popular three-front issue platform: Trade, Immigration and ISIS. Trump will need to remind the audience that, while Secretary Clinton may be belittling his plans, she has set many fires to the world with her own. Ineptness, recklessness and greed must be implied and explained but in a way that is alien to Donald Trump; pleasantly.

As for Hillary Clinton, she needs to present herself as head & shoulders more qualified than her opponent. She needs to unveil for the average viewer, why Trump's plan could never benefit the United States. It would be a great turn of events for her, if she can draw his temper out into the open and perhaps get him to say something chauvinistic as he seemed incapable of holding it in when he exchanged with Carly Fiorina. Hillary should avoid anecdotal stories about people on the campaign trail as they always come back to bite her in Fact checks. She should not double down on her Email practice but instead apologize to the American people that it was a mistake and one that she would never make again. She should announce a complete shut down of the Clinton Foundation while she is in office and finally, she should encroach a bit into Trump's territory and tell Americans she will not let ISIS survive her 1st term.
