A Fall River man is being held without bail for the May 22nd murder of his girlfriend.

Twenty-six year old Scott Rego appeared Tuesday in Fall River District Court, where his attorney entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.

Rego is accused of fatally stabbing his girlfriend, Kristina Reis during an argument at their Linden Street apartment. She was stabbed in the neck and pronounced dead at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

Rego was also stabbed in the chest during the struggle and required treatment at Rhode Island Hospital. The Herald News says Rego will return to court for a pre-trial hearing on June 29th.
