Murder Suspect Arraigned In Hospital Bed
A New Bedford man is being held without bail after pleading not guilty to a murder charge.
47 year old Pedro DeSouza was arraigned Monday afternoon in his St. Lukes’s Hospital room for the Sunday morning slaying of 33 year old Rebecca Felteau of New Bedford.
Assist. D-A Cynthia Brackett says police were called to 14 Ashland Place Sunday morning and found the victim’s body in a second floor room.
Police say DeSouza had jumped out a second floor window and hurt his back. He was found by police a short distance down the street, hiding under a motor vehicle.
Judge Bernadette Sabra continued the case to April 24.
