47 year old Pedro DeSouza was arraigned Monday afternoon in his St. Lukes's Hospital room for the Sunday morning slaying of 33 year old Rebecca Felteau of New Bedford.

Assist. D-A Cynthia Brackett says police were called to 14 Ashland Place Sunday morning and found the victim's body in a second floor room.

Police say DeSouza had jumped out a second floor window and hurt his back.  He was found by police a short distance down the street, hiding under a motor vehicle.

Judge Bernadette Sabra continued the case to April 24.
