Murder Probe Sparks State Police Search
State Police investigators and Fairhaven Police searched a couple of areas Friday morning in connection with an ongoing murder investigation.
District Attorney spokesman Greg Milioti confirms police were at Fairhaven Lumber, searching a shed. They also searched the traffic island on Route 240, near the entrance from Route Six.
The body of 69-year old Joyce Howland was found late Tuesday morning at her Hamlet Street home. Police initially termed the case an unattended death, but after an autopsy and further investigation, the D-A's office announced the case was a homocide.
