New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady gave Patriots Nation a huge scare yesterday, when he came up limping after getting his leg rolled up on by Miami's Ndamukong Suh in the second quarter of New England's 20-10 loss.

While he appeared to be in pain, he stayed in the game until the team's final series, when the game was all but out of reach.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, an MRI performed on Brady's right ankle after the game showed that the star QB suffered a sprained ankle. Luckily for the future Hall-of-Famer and all of New England, the MRI did not reveal any breaks or fractures to the bone.

What this means is that Brady will be sore for the next few days at least and will probably be receiving around the clock treatment to alleviate any pain he may be feeling.

Another positive for Brady and the team is that they have the first week of the playoffs off, thanks to a first round bye. That will give the 16-year pro even more time to rest up and get that ankle ready to go for the team's home divisional round match up two Saturdays from now.

Also, let's face it. Did anyone really think with the way the Patriots season has gone, in terms of injuries, that Brady wasn't going to get banged up at some point this season? That answer should be a resounding no.
