The mother of one of the victims of Wednesday's stabbing spree at a high school in suburban Pittsburgh is thankful her son is alive.

Amanda Hurt teared up as she talked about the attack that left her son Brett hospitalized. He was stabbed in the back but is recovering and may be released from the hospital soon.

The suspect in the attack is 16-year-old Alex Hribal. He's in custody and will be charged as an adult for stabbing more than 20 people inside Franklin Regional High School school. (Metro Networks Inc.)
