Ground spraying for mosquitoes will take place early Thursday morning in New Bedford. 

 
Mayor Jon Mitchell's Office says the Bristol County Mosquito Control Project will conduct another round of targeted ground spraying will target areas  including Buttonwood Park, Brooklawn Park, Fort Taber, Hazelwood Park, Riverside Park, Clasky Park, Ashley Park, the Poor Farm area, and Custom House Square. 
 
The spraying will take place between 2 a.m. and sunrise, weather permitting.
 
Officials are advising residents who live near the targeted areas to close their windows Wednesday night before the spraying begins.
 
Those who want to request a ground spray in their area can call the Bristol County Mosquito Control project at (508) 823-5253, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. or through e-mail at RequestBristolMCP@comcast.net.
