The City Council is playing favorites with casino developers. That's according to Mayor Jon Mitchell, who says the council's move to re-zone the Cannon Street Power Station clears a path for KG Urban Enterprises and their waterfront casino proposal.

Speaking on WBSM's "Mid-Day Live", Mitchell says it's spot-zoning, and it's unfair.

Mitchell says the state's gambling laws override pre-existing zoning ordinances, making it easier for developers to build casinos.

The mayor is unsure if he will veto the council's ordinance, and says he's weighing his options.
