About 20 years ago, when my American Breakfast radio show was broadcast to over 200 markets coast-to-coast, I was contacted by Richard Paul Evans' publicist to see if I'd be interested in interviewing this young author whose book, The Christmas Box, was growing in popularity by the day.

I remember my wife, Celeste, saying she had never read a more beautiful story! The next thing I knew, a box of one hundred copies of The Christmas Box arrived so I could give them out as gifts to my national audience. I also remember thinking that this young upstart knew how to write from the heart and market his book without much cost!

That was then, this is now, as Richard Paul Evans is recognized the world over for his heart-touching stories that have sold millions and have been made into movies. Some people really deserve the success they work for and Richard is one of them!

His newest book, The Mistletoe Promise, has been out for one day and already is in its third printing. In our radio chat, we reminisced about how we first met, chatted about The Mistletoe Promise and also talked about what Richard likes to do when he's not writing, like making homemade crepes! Whether it's writing a runaway bestseller or working his ranch in Utah, Richard Paul Evans is the same wonderful 'point of light' who makes this world a better place because of his love of writing. Enjoy the chat!
